  • How would you like to to Get Involved?
Building our Rock Island county Republican party is a grassroots team effort, and winning elections takes all of us. Help, Serve, Connect with our cause by signing up to volunteer in your area of expertise.  Getting Illinois back on the conservative track will require a strong engaged grassroots team effort.  There are plenty of great ways to help out, grow our party besides monetary donations.

Volunteer work is both crucial and invaluable to our cause. Please consider helping the party with your time in any of the following ways, or even other ways that you excel at that we haven't thought of!

Precinct Committeeperson - The grassroots and foundation of the political parties are its precinct committeemen. They serve as the foot soldiers to the most fundamental political unit of government — the precinct. The precinct committeeman helps shape party policy and participates in the selection process of candidates. A precinct committeeman is elected to a two-year term in the even-year primary elections. Help make important decisions that affect the party, and be the point of connection between the party and your community.
  • Running for Office - Every year there are elections at the local, city, county, state, district or federal level. Someone has to run, and if you'd like to positively impact your community by making decisions in a public office, that someone might be you!
  • Helping a Campaign - Every campaign comes with lots of work to reach out to potential voters. Campaign coordinators or volunteers are needed at every level to make those connections.
  • Joining a committee - We have numerous committees, including Campaigns, Finance and Fundraising, Letter Writing, Event planning, Outreach and Information Technology.  We are always in search of more volunteers that can help with their party goals.
  • Staffing the Headquarters - The headquarters is open more than 10 hours a week, and even more when an election is near. We need conservative people to assist other volunteers and voters with questions by being available in the headquarters.
  • Administrative work - We occasionally run campaigns in our own office for Fundraising and Outreach. When we do, we can use help stuffing envelopes or placing calls.
